What is Bowen Technique?
“The Bowen Technique, a healing, often miraculous, life-changing hands-on therapy, is revolutionising the healthcare world.”
A simple and powerful technique that helps relieve all kinds of pain, it is so gentle it can be used on anyone – from newborn infants to the elderly. Bowen is also excellent for pregnant ladies
The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers to gently move muscles and tissues and it offers rapid, long-lasting relief from pain and discomfort. Many conditions respond within two-three treatments, long-term conditions generally take more sessions.
The Bowen Technique is not massage, acupressure or chiropractic and no manipulation, adjustment or force is used.
The technique affects the body primarily through the nervous and the bioenergetics systems, to bring it into a state of balance.
The Bowen Technique is currently being used at Children's Clinics around the country, helping young children to overcome difficulties with dyspraxia, learning difficulties, cerebral palsy, autism and ADHD. Other childhood conditions responding well include asthma, bed-wetting, constipation, growing pains, headaches and muscular-skeletal issues including posture, balance and co-ordination.
Bowen was chosen by the Prince of Wales’ Foundation for Integrated Health (POWFIH) as one of 11 therapies to be included in its Regulation Programme for the period 2005-2008.

How much does it cost?
£15.00 for the initial consultation
£40.00 for a treatment
£25.00 for children (please note that a parent must be in attendance during the treatment)
"One real advantage of Bowen over other ‘alternative’ therapies is that many complaints are said to be treated after just two or three sessions, making Bowen treatment easier on the wallet." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH
"Some clients return for regular sessions simply for balancing and relaxation. It can be a form of protection as well. For some sports people it can actually enhance their performance". HEALTH AND FITNESS MAGAZINE
